See ManageStrata at work before you sign up
Efren Macasaet
Before a council hands its building's records to new software, it should be able to see that software work. A feature list tells you what software claims to do. Watching someone use it tells you whether it would work for your strata.
So we've put eleven short walkthroughs on our YouTube channel. Each one follows a single job from start to finish, from the chair of the person who'd actually do it: a treasurer checking who still owes fees, a secretary posting a notice, an owner reporting a leak. Most run under two minutes, and none is longer than four.
If you only watch one, start with this one. It's three minutes on what ManageStrata is for and how a council uses it.
For council
- Finances: the operating fund and the contingency reserve, what owners still owe, spending against the budget, and each lot's ledger. About 3 minutes.
- Units and lots: one register for every strata lot, with its owner, unit factor, parking stalls and storage lockers. About 2 minutes.
- Lot information sheets: emergency contacts, tenants and an overdue Form K, seen first by the council and then by a new owner filling in their own sheet. About 4 minutes.
- Documents: bylaws, minutes and reports filed for you, and searchable down to the page. About 3 minutes.
- Announcements: a notice that reaches owners online and prints as the lobby poster. About 1.5 minutes.
- Vendors: checking a contractor's insurance and WorkSafeBC clearance before you hand them a job. About 1.5 minutes.
- Quotes: asking a roofer for a price with a link they can answer without an account, then comparing the bids. About 2 minutes.
With AI, and a person deciding
- The Assistant: asking a question and getting an answer from your corporation's own records, with the page it came from. About 1.5 minutes.
- AI agents: an agent sorts new maintenance requests and suggests what to do with each, and someone on council decides which suggestions to act on. About 1.5 minutes.
For owners
- Reporting a repair: an owner reports a water stain with a photo, checks the council got it, and follows it to done. About 2 minutes.
How they're made
Every video is recorded in ManageStrata itself, not mocked up in an editing suite. The buildings, owners and numbers are made up, so no real strata's records appear on screen. The narration is a synthetic voice reading a script we wrote.
Because each one is recorded from the product, we can record it again when a screen changes, and we'll keep doing that, so what you watch matches what you'll use.
Watching while you work
The same videos sit in the ManageStrata guide, beside the steps they show. If you're setting up your own building, you can watch a job and then do it, one page at a time.
If there's a job you'd like to see that isn't here yet, tell us and we'll add it to the list.
